Carpets are manufactured all over the world and can range from handmade silk, 100% wool, 80/20, man-made polypropylene and many more.

With all the manufacturers styles, sizes and designs available, you're sure to find your perfect carpet.

Many manufacturers produce carpets in multiple widths so that carpets in larger rooms can be installed with minimal joins, if any.

As with most products, price and quality can vary. A wool carpet is considered high quality and will out live any man made carpet if looked after which makes them perfect for a 20 year investment or installation to high traffic areas.

Man made carpets can have a very soft luxury feel to them with the added bonus of many being suitable for bleach cleaning for any real stubborn stains. 

Although it can take a few years the pile on a man made carpet will tend to lay down and flatten quicker than a wool carpet.

Carpet underlay can differ greatly in quality. Foam underlays tend to be lighter weight but can have a very high performance for the life of your carpet. Generally ranging between 8mm - 12mm in thickness the quality between manufacturers will vary significantly.

A combination underlay made from rubber crumb and felt are made from a combination of recycled car tyres and plastic bottles with a layer of wool or felt on top they have a great thermal value which are generally used under a wool carpet.

Hoovering or vacuuming your carpet is as important as the correct installation. We would always recommend the manufacturers guidelines are followed with regards to recommended hoovers /  vacuums and any stain removals.

All manufacturers provide their own wear warranties and some wool carpets are covered by the Wool Safe organisation.
